Cryocooled Superconducting Magnet Using the R&W Coil Fabricated by High Strength CuNb/Nb3Sn Wires

The superconducting coil using reinforced CuNb/Nb3Sn wires was fabricated by a react and wind method. After the Nb3Sn coil was assembled with the outer NbTi coil which was previously prepared, a cryocooled superconducting magnet with a 220mm room temperature bore was developed. As the result, the superconducting magnet generated a central field of 7.51T at present.
